Treyson's First Haircut and 1st Birthday!

Well...we finally broke down and decided it was time to chop off Treyson's beautiful red hair. I guess when you can put your son's hair into a ponytail...the haircut's been long over-due! Not to mention the fact that the mullet hairstyle was getting a little "hick-ish" for our tastes. Trying to cut his hair was tricky. Everytime I got some hair between my fingers to cut, Treyson would move and his light and feathery locks would slip right out of my grasp. I'll admit, I got way too frustrated. I even turned the job over to Nick, who did a better job than me...I know hard to believe, right?? (Just Kidding!) Of course with his new haircut Treyson looks even more grown-up. Although his hair now looks a little lighter in color, it's still red...and so adorable!

A few days after we cut his hair, we celebrated TJ's first birthday. Fortunately he was healthy and happy on Feb. 12th. Some of us (Nixan and I) were still fighting the flu. If it weren't for Carson wondering about TJ's birthday cake...we may have waited and celebrated on a different day. But, being the good older brother that he is, Carson made sure we celebrated ON TJ's birthday. Treyson loved his cake and was actually quite the polite little eater. If it weren't for Carson's coaching, his hands would have actually stayed quite clean.

We are so happy that Treyson is part of our family! He is such a joyous little soul...so happy...so smart. He walks now (still crawls too), waves goodbye, and gives wet, slimy kisses! He's our little sweetheart--Happy Birthday TJ!
