As I recall...Treyson didn't like the giant slide.
The nervousness is obvious!
Playing at our neighborhood park...just a block from our house.
Notice my baby's hand?? What happened?? One of the worst possible things. I had just turned my flat iron (for hair) on in the bathroom. Treyson walked in behind me, reached up and grabbed it. I screamed. He screamed. It was horrible (darn the lightning fast heating element of the Chi)! All four fingers were pretty badly burned. Fortunately Nick was home and quickly came to the rescue. We've been so worried about him. I'm very grateful to have a husband who is able to daily wash (with antibacterial soap!) out his burns, apply medicated oinment, and bandage him up. I can't bear to even look at the burns, let alone wash them out with soap! Nick is amazing at doing the "tough" love stuff. We pray that he heals well and doesn't require any surgery. A couple days after it happened, we were taking off his bandage and we snapped this picture. It's not easy to see because of the lighting, and the first finger was bleeding so there's still a bandaid on that one...but you get the idea of how bad it was. See the swelling...two days later. Sad, sad, sad...and totally preventable...lessons learned for sure.

Oh poor thing - u r not the only one. My sister-in-law Viv, had the same thing happen to her over the 4th of July weekend. Her little boy grabbed her Chi and burned his fingers. Ouch! My biggest fear is that it could happen to me too - sometimes I catch myself after I turn on the curling iron, walk away, and walk back and see the cord hanging from the side. I HAVE to start remembering to put the cords above reaching levels! - UGH Hope he gets better soon! Oh, and Bryson cut his fingers over the weekend from lovely vents in our home! I think I cried more than him.
Oh that looks so bad, poor Treyson. I will definitely be more careful with mine from now on! Looks like you had a fun fourth of July and how great to have a park just a block from your house.
That is so sad to look at. Thank goodness for Nick! That would be so hard to wash and bandage it up. I'm so sorry, I can tell you are beating yourself up.
The boys are getting so big. Carson has little chicken legs! We can't wait until Thanksgiving! Yeah.
Poor little Treyson. I hope he's feeling better soon. It's so scary the things that can happen- and so quickly too.
Ouch! Poor guy and I hate those kinds of things as a mom too! Your park looks so fun and a great time on the 4th!
Ouchy! That makes my hand hurt!! I wish Nick lived in our house! I'm not the best with this first aid stuff. It looks like you guys had a blast! I was so happy to see Carson's salute again. It went so well with 4th of July! I've still got to find those pictures of Amanda with her head pose....hmmm.
Oh yeah...I'll never ever forget you guys coming to visit. Not only because you were so much fun but because I was soooo embarrassed at how HOT the house was. Did we ever tell you that they forgot to put insulation in our attic...we didn't find out about it until October....no wonder we were burning up! We were living in a barn!! Anway...can't wait to visit again!
Aaron did the same thing when he was Treyson's age only he was only crawling into the house! He burned both hands that badly on the metal threshold of the front door that was hot from the sun. We rushed him to the Dr and got him bandaged up and, eventually, "we" healed nicely. How's it going so far in Dallas? We got back from our UT trip 2 days ago all excited to talk to you - I'm telling you, it really hasn't sunk in that you're gone!
Poor baby! That looks horrible. It's amazing how the human body heals on its own, though. Give Treyson hugs from us.
Fun times in TX! Love the patriotic clothes. Cute boys.
