Caught Up

Okay...so I haven't been that great of a blogger lately. It's not that I haven't anything to say...rather I've been overwhelmed with all that is going on that I don't know where to start to get caught up. I guess this is where that old question "How do you eat an elephant?" comes from. Of course, one bite at a time is the answer. So, if bites were posts...
I could post about swimming lessons this past month. Carson and Nixan loved being back in the water. Carson can now swim the entire length of the pool without stopping. He's working on his dives. Nixan has improved dramatically and he likes holding his breath underwater and doing cannonballs.

Another post would be about Carson's amazing paper airplane. For "Paper Airplane" day at school the entire first grade held a contest to see whose plane could travel the farthest. Carson's plane won! He was quite proud of his Dad (who engineered the design) and of himself for all the military-inspired decor he colored on the plane's exterior.

Oh, another post would be about Nixan. He went with me to the school to get registered for kindergarten. He's so excited to finally be a big kid like Carson. Inside I am sad to see him grow-up. He's been my buddy...so helpful to run errands with me and play with TJ. It will be so strange to only have one little guy at home during the day...

Of course, I could also post about all the warm weather we've enjoyed lately. Not too hot (yet). We've enjoyed going on walks, playing at the park, and hitting lots of golf balls at the range. It's so nice to have a golf range a mile and a half away...makes for a great family activity. The boys like to drive the ball, while TJ and I like to spend our time on the greens. Of course now there's the pool too...

With summer coming...I foresee a major loss of structure in our little family's routines. Perhaps this will afford more opportunity for blogging. Perhaps it will facilitate procrastination? I don't know...but I am looking forward to summer--Sleeping in a little bit later each morning, eating ice cream, going on vacation, seeing extended family again, going to a wedding. Should be great. Hopefully you'll get to hear all about it. Who knows really...I may have an even bigger elephant to eat in the coming weeks.

You have been so busy! Sounds like summer is off to a great start! Jocelyn is so excited for school too- she was actually excited for her shots. I was just checking blogs thinking that nobody has really updated, then realized my last post was a month ago. Oops. You've inspired me, but don't hold your breath!!!

Way to stay the blogging course!! Get Carson ready to demonstrate and share his airplane secret with Nate and Derrick. They've been trying Sunday after Sunday and have used about 3 packages of my printer paper to get an airplane that will fly more than 2 feet. I'll pay Carson to share his design...PLEASE!! We can't wait to see you guys this summer!!

Yay! I found your blog and now I can catch up on your family. Bella asked about Treyson yesterday and asked if he could come over. It was so cute and sad. She really misses him. If you have time when you are in town you should give me a ring. It would be fun to see you!
