First Day of School

I'm a little late in posting the first-day-of-school photos, but here they are. Nixan started Kindergarten this year and is LOVING it. He takes "behavior" very seriously... and makes sure that he always comes home with a sticker in his folder. He is so proud and considers himself one of the best in the class (which is good...he's developing his confidence, right?). He really wanted a camo backpack like Carson's, but in desert camo. We looked everywhere for one! Finally, only days before school started, we found it--hidden behind some other backpacks on the bottom rack of an aisle at Office Depot. Thank you Office Depot!!! You made one kindergartner's year!

Carson started 2nd grade and he is so happy to be back in school. He really missed it during the summer...if you can believe that! He has said a few times now, "I wish school was on Saturday too! Why do there have to be weekends?" We are so happy that he is having fun and learning...he's really into reading and learning about history. And, of course, he LOVES being the older brother....with the responsibility of walking with Nixan after school.


Here's Nixan right outside his classroom on the 1st day:

Carson said to me, "Mom, you don't have to walk me to my class." So, there is no picture of Carson outside his classroom door! :(

But, Treyson, feeling slightly left out, demanded that I take some pictures of him that morning. So here he is, standing outside after dropping the boys off:
