Fall 2011

The fall here in Arizona has been wonderful!! The weather is perfect for outdoor activities....so that's what we've been doing--playing outside! Here's some pictures from the park, where we were watching the older boys' soccer practice:

Love his grin!

Trying to get the camera out of my hands...this girl wouldn't hold still!

Treyson and his best buddy Logan...they are sooo funny together. They came running inside to tell me they were making dog poop. Uhhh, say what? Yep, that's right...we don't do mud pies, we do doggie dodo. Fantastic! I'll take the fake crap over real turds any day!

Of course with fall comes the apple harvest. And what 2nd grade curriculum would be complete without a unit on Johnny Appleseed? Here's Nixan in his class play...He was the bear!

Nick and I decided to take Sage and TJ on a hike up Camelback mountain. It turned out to be a pretty intense hike, but TJ was amazing. He LOVED climbing the rocks. Everybody we passed on the hike commented on how great TJ was doing! (I think they were secretly shocked at our lunacy...who are these people? Taking a 4yr old and baby on such a hike??)

Half-way up:

I love this picture because Nick told TJ and me to get in...but we didn't notice that we posed exactly alike until we downloaded the pictures. Right knees down, left knees up, right hands down, left arms on left knees....

Credit goes to Nick...he must be a graceful and agile hiker...lulled our little one right to sleep. Here she is, snoozing away, at the top of Camelback:
