Sage Turns 1

I will admit that I am sad Sage is already 1 year old. My baby is growing up right before my eyes and I wish I could slow time down. It seems like just yesterday we were at the hospital, dying to get discharged so that we could take our angel home for Christmas. And here we are...a whole year later...lighting a candle and singing "Happy Birthday." Our little Sage is such a sweetheart. She brings out a gentleness in my boys that I never really knew existed. And Nick? Don't even get me started on how he dotes on that little girl. She squeals with excitement when he walks in the door, which is always the highlight of his day.

Fun facts about Sage:

Started walking at 10 months
Can draw blood with one bite (ask Nixan)
Loves the trampoline
HATES baths
Would drink soda all day long if allowed
Likes to press buttons and switches
Empties out entire drawers and cupboards in three seconds flat
Has learned NOT to put Legos in her mouth (for the most part)
First word: NO!
Flirts with strangers by blinking BOTH her eyes...truly adorable!!

Here is a little video clip from her birthday. As per tradition, we made Sage her own little cake to devour. Or not. As you will see in the video, her reaction to the cake is pretty funny! Had my parents, Kage, us and Grandma Elliott laughing pretty hard.

And NO....after several similar attempts....she still would not touch her cake!

Aww Sage...I love her. This makes me laugh because Chance would totally be wrapped around our baby's finger if it's a girl, too. :)

That video of Sage is so AWESOME! Somehow I don't think any of your boys had the same reaction to cake. :)
