Okay...so I've never been a "camper." The only time I can remember camping was during girls camp for church, which isn't exactly camping (staying in cabins and all). However, one of the things left on our family's list of "Things To Do Before We Move Away from Virginia," was going camping in the Shenandoah Mountains. So we talked it over with some friends and set a date. Not that I was dreading it...but I just wasn't convinced that the fun of camping would outway the work (to say nothing of the bugs and sleeping outside). Well...let me just say...camping this past weekend was so, so, so, much fun! The boys had a blast! They loved it so much! And luckily for them, I had a great time too...so maybe we'll go camping again soon! Thanks so much to our great friends Christy and Cary Jaques for all their planning and help!!
After hiking around just a bit, Treyson fell asleep. He stayed asleep even after we put him down on the grass...camping can be tiring...who knew?? :)

k - you guys had too much fun - I love Nick in his camo pants and I love how Trey fell asleep in the hiking backpack and you left him in it! I would too or our little guy would wake up and then you have cranky baby! Honestly though, your trip looked so FUN!
Your boys are the cutest ever!! I'm glad you had fun camping. I must admit with all the years we went...it's nothing that really took root for me...so, I admire you!! The picture of Treyson had me laughing out loud. What a cutie! And, of course, the salute and gun were classics. I also like Carson with the pretty girls around him....no wonder he had so much fun :)...Ok..just kidding..a little young there.

oh this looks like so much fun...we really should have all done this as a big 4th year group before we left...that would have been a blast!! great memories
