Yep...the temperature inside our house today was 89*!!! Yikes! The AC repair company can't come for another day, so we've been sweltering since yesterday evening. We really miss our modern day comforts. I was thinking today that calling Texas hot is kind of like saying Alaska is cold. Both are HUGE understatements!!! But the blessing here is that we have had over 12 days in a row of triple digit heat...but our AC didn't break down until the storm front moved in. Fortunately the outside temperature today didn't get above 93*. I'm so glad our AC didn't go out when it was 107* the other day!!!!

What we did to cool off:

Nixan doing some version of a cannonball.
Go Carson!

Carson has been working hard on his hand stands...he's gotten fairly good.
Treyson saying "cheese."

Both Carson and Nixan were very nice to take Treyson down the slide...again and again and again...They all love the slide!

That is so cute! How fun! Sorry your AC went out! Yikes - that is no fun at all - but you are right, luckily it was not 107!
I am so sorry. I was in the post office today and some ladies were talking about the weather (it happens to be raining and a nice 75 degrees out). One lady said, "I think Texas is getting all of our heat." I smiled and thought of you. I hope Friday comes fast.
Oh my goodness that's just pure TORTURE!! I can remember when you came to visit when we just moved into our house....that was DEADLY!!. Should we come and visit you now so we can know how it felt? You guys were such troopers!! Good luck! I remember riding bikes, walking streets and knocking on doors in that Texas heat. In fact...would you believe that a few of the apartments we lived in didn't have AC....that's MISERABLE (OK, I'll stop with the adjectives) It's just these terrible memories are flooding in as I read your post. Good luck and don't die!!
I love Julie's advice to not die. Really- it feels like you might with no air. Our A/C went out on Katelyn's birthday on a Friday and our management rental people wouldn't return calls till Monday. I know the feeling. I think it's funny that you took a picture of your thermostat! Our high was 95 degrees. Ouch. My two sisters were visiting us too- we just kept the babies in their diapers and ate outside in the shade where it was cooler than inside our house. I'm glad you hit the pool. It looks like a ton of fun- you've got three little fishies over there! Is that your YMCA? Very fun! Stay cool!
Oh no, that is horrible! I'm so glad you were able to go swimming. That looks like such a fun place to swim too!
oh man! Hopefully its fixed now! The worst part of the TX heat for me is that there isn't a break from it until like Nov! TIP- don't buy plush costumes for Halloween! :) The kids look like they are having a great time in the sun though!
You totally should have come over. Love the pictures!
And can I just tell you how HAPPY I am to be working with you in HFPE!?! Great lesson Sunday too. Glad to have you in the ward!
