The finale for summer 2009 (for me!)...was attending my little brother Jacob's wedding in Twin Falls, Idaho. With school starting for the boys, there just wasn't time (or $$$ for that matter) for the whole family to fly out. So Nick stayed home with the kids so that I could make the quick trip. He even had to do some
SERIOUS arm-twisting at work to get that weekend off and keep it off (long story short...they kept trying to schedule him on those days...he totally went to bat for me!). Thanks babe! You know you're awesome, right? Anyways, the wedding day was beautiful...the weather stayed slightly cool (for mid-August anyways) and the light cloud cover only let the tiniest and fewest of drops fall. It was a perfect wedding and I am so happy for Jake and Jessica! Judging from the pictures alone, you can tell that Jake is one lucky man! And I will add that I am only lucky girl...finally some more "girl power" to take on all that Allen Family testosterone!

So stinkin' cute, those two!

The Allen girls: my little sister
Christy, then the first woman brave enough to marry one of my brothers-
Sara, and
me (with Dad in the background...gosh, is it just me, or is his hair greying some?)

Okay...this picture is the only one I have with roses....but it doesn't do the Rose Garden justice at all! There were tons of gorgeous roses everywhere. It was just perfect for their reception!

This last picture is of me and my friend Jill. She is from Twin Falls, but we met out in Virginia while our husbands were in school. She is one of the best women I know! And, small world that it is, she grew up with Jessica's family, crazy huh?

That's so awesome! Sad your whole family could not go - but what a blast non the less! Did you see Kristin and Steve up there??? Her dress is gorgeous!
I'm glad it worked out. Way to go Nick. What a cute couple. Jessica is so lucky to have you as a SIL.
Hey, when were you here? We missed seeing you. Well, I'm glad you had a good time. They look so happy!
What a beautiful couple!! I just love those huge smiles that are on newly sealed husband and wife. I'm glad you were able to go. Way to go Nick for sticking to your guns!
There is no way that Jacob is old enough to get married! Crazy! I feel so old right now.
