..I'd hope it was Jon Schmidt. Don't know him? He's an amazing musician...pianist. I can't even begin to explain how much I covet his talent. I love playing the piano...and I'm not too bad at it...but I'm no prodigy. No Juilliard grad. No Jon Schmidt. Sometimes I pretend though. I'll play my favorite songs really loud...it makes me sound so good, so accomplished (or so I think). Don't all piano players secretly love fortissimo?! Anyways, my little brother introduced me to this youtube video and I seriously fell in love with Jon all over again. I've listened to it for a few weeks now...and finally decided I had to post it. I couldn't embed the video, so use this link:
It's not a short piece (about 6min)...but my favorite part is right at 3:00...key change...bridge...you're going to love it!

Ohhhh...we are total John Schmidt fans over here. He has come up here a few times and had performance on Thanksgiving weekend....you better believe we've gone. He is so dang funny. What talent. Amanda has several of his books, but we can't quite get it to sound like him :) So fun to know that you are a fan. OH...and I LOVE fortisimo :) But, now you've got to get the John Schmidt head turn and movement in there...then you'll be a true pro like me :)
HHHMMM....I'll just keep up my wish list of Celestial Kingdom gifts....Piano playing is absolutely at the top. (that's hoping I make it there of coarse)
Wow! I totally loved it! I wish I had that talent too! And, I'd love to hear you play really loud! I'd clap and cheer for you in all seriousness!
I couldn't agree more - he is amazing and I love all his songs!
