Medicated?

Setting: Carson watching tv in the family room

Carson: Mom! That's what I need right there!

(Carson points to the tv screen, which shows an advertisement for Ambien CR-aka prescription medication indicated for insomnia/sleeplessness)

Me: What? Why?

Carson: (In all seriousness) Cause my mornings always come in the middle of the night!

{Can you tell he's quoting? Yep, he totally self diagnosed...based on all those silly questions pharmaceutical companies ask during their commercials! ("Do you suffer from...." and on, and on) And he's kinda right...he always wakes up early...we're constantly telling him to go back to bed on Saturday mornings! }

Me: (Laughs)

Side note: I DETEST patient-targeted pharmaceutical advertisements!!!

I love the stories about your kids! I really want to meet them! My favorite is the one about "mommy's breastplates." Oh man.

Something about the start of school ... I really miss you! I've been thinking about you a lot this week especially when I keep making your recipes from the scrapbooking cookbook (Sante Fe Chicken and Roast Beef Chimi's -yum!)

Ha-ha!! That Carson is sooo clever! Let's just hope he doesn't clue into the Levitra or Viagra commercials any time soon. ;)

Thanks for cluing us into the Cheddar and Jalapeno Cheeto's...nummers!! We are now hooked on them.

He's a sucker. Don't let him watch infomericals!

Although I am impressed he can diagnose himself.

Looks like the little man is on track to follow in his parent's footsteps--either a dr. or a pharamacist, hmmm! So cute!

Funny story! I thought you were going to tell us about the swine flu (saw your comment on Julie's blog). Sooo sorry you guys are sick- I've heard it's absolutely miserable. And I so hope things are better for Carson's b-day today. Wish him a great number 8 for us!!!

Love ya!
