(It began snowing on Christmas Eve...TJ's first taste of snow.)
We stayed indoors...making our traditional gingerbread cookies...drawing...
preparing the Christmas feast.
Then we did our traditional re-enactment of the Christmas Story
Then we went outside to leave out the reindeer food. Look what we found when we opened our front door! Nick said, "Wish I had a 22 so I could hunt that rabbit!" Carson said, "Dad...those aren't rabbit tracks. They're REINDEER!" I said, "You're right Carson! Dad didn't look close enough!"---cause how could anyone pass up such an obvious opportunity to authenticate Santa?
Sprinklin' the reindeer food in the front yard. His feet were freezing!
And so were Treyson's....he didn't like that white stuff at all!
A Glorious Christmas Morning:
(It's been over 80yrs since the last white Christmas in Dallas!)

What a Merry Christmas, and so fun to have it be white! The boys are getting so big. I love your family picture on the top. Glad things are good.
Can there even be a better Christmas?!? You're so lucky to have the snow! I don't know, it may just be growin up in Utah...but the "liquid" snow in Oregon just doesn't cut it for me and Christmas - ha! I loved the traditions you have. Our two families would blend perfectly. We do the same things :)
OH, and ps....I LOVE that picture of you and Nick kissing. I've mainly seen those with the girl against the wall...but...this is WAY better because it totally looks like you're in control..girl power! :) That Nick better whatch it...you're like some Greek Godess (forgot the name) :)
Venus??? Aphrodite??
I'm jealous you got snow for Christmas - we didn't!!! I think Dallas and the East Coast have stole it from utah this year!! Lol. I'm glad you guys had such a good time - and I LOVE your family pics...they are so so cute!!!
What fun times and the snow just made it extra wonderful! So fun to have reindeer tracks! :) That is way cool! What cute boys! And, we love the new family pictures!
Carson is a great little artist. Your Christmas looks so fun! We had snow for two weeks before Christmas, but then it all melted. No White Christmas here. You're lucky!
Fun Christmas Pictures!! I cannot believe it snowed there!! that is so amazing!! I bet it made it feel so much more like Christmas though. I can't believe Carson is already 8 tell him congrats on the Baptism. You guys are darling!
How exciting to have a WHITE Christmas! I bet people loved it. Carson's got an awesome bison picture there. That looks just like the picture! Nickson not bad either, so far he's staying right in those littel lines. What kind of paint is that?
We loved your Christmas card! Your new blog picture is way cute, too. Very vintage.
