Nixan was so excited to celebrate his birthday this year! It seems, with all the excitement of the holidays, that he has always forgotten his birthday was just around the corner. All the anticipation of Christmas proved to be very distracting from his birthday. But not this year. This year, he knew it was coming...and didn't let anybody forget it either. Especially when Santa forgot to get him that Nerf machine gun. "Oh well...I'll just get that for my birthday!" he said so matter-of-fact.
But by January, I was feeling pretty partied-out (Did I ever mention that I had to plan a HUGE dance for our church...for over 500 people? It about killed me!). So I admit...I was totally burned-out on parties. But, being the awesome mother that I am...I still volunteered to throw a birthday party for Nixan. I guess I got lucky though, because Nixan didn't really want a party. He just wanted to take his two best buddies with him to Chuck-e-Cheese's. What an easy request! Happy Birthday, indeed!

Happy Birthday Nixan!! What a big boy and very SMART boy!! Awww...he is so dang cute!! I still have to write everyone's birthdays on my new 2010 calendar. You January birthdays get so ripped off from me!
Jamie...you are definitely an AWESOME mom!! I have never planned a dance for 500 people and then to do a tank cake, balloons and birthday party....amazing...and I'm serious! I'm so impressed will all of your talents and abilities. Plus, besides that...you are absolutley gorgeous!

Happy birthday to Nixan! Looked like he was having such a fun day! I love his cake! I almost thought it was Carson in the picture on the ride with the other little boy. He looks so much like him there.

Happy birthday Nixan! Connor talked about going to his party for a week! It still cracks me up that he signed the birthday card 'your ol' pa - Connor' ha! Those two sure love each other.
