For our spring break this year we decided to drive to UT to visit our families. We had a wonderful time seeing my siblings in Provo...where we were able to attend Christy's choir concert and see Jake's and Jess's apartment. Then we spent a few days with Mom and Dad O. Nick and the boys spent days working with grandpa in his wood shop. The boys loved using grandpa's tools. Although I will admit that I was none too pleased to see Carson actually using the ban saw by himself! (He did good though!) The pinewood derby cars, tractor, & airplane turned out well! So thanks grandpa! We also enjoyed ice skating at the Ice sheet (it was cool telling the boys all about the 2002 Olympic curling events held there). We loved being able to see Joe and Julynn and their kiddos too....we love those guys!

Next, we spent our last few days with the Allen family. Grandpa and uncle Jake took us skiing and were, seriously, the BEST ski-instructors ever! Carson and Nixan had their own personal coaches! Both Jake and grandpa were super patient helping them (which patience Nick and I could not match). Of course, as is quickly becoming tradition, we had to stop at Smith & Edwards...the boys loved picking out military patches/pins....and treats. Somewhere, in it all, we squeezed in a visit to my Allen grandparents. They are such wonderful people...and my grandma is still the best cook!

Pictures tell half the story, don't they?! What a fun Spring Break!!! You managed to squeeze a lot in there!
Skiing on spring break...brrr. That's cute that your kids got to ski!
I'm with you on the "why is my child using a ban saw on his own" thing. Nervous wreck watching that. Then, we left our camera on the hood of our car in the garage and drove away leaving it crushed on the street for our neighbors to find later. Not good.
oh, so be glad Nick doesn't own a nail gun- they're apparently for ages 9 and up, too.
