Nick is normally in charge when it comes to preparing/cooking our turkey each Thanksgiving. Well, this year, his work schedule had him working overnight call Wednesday night, which meant he'd get off work Thanksgiving morning at 7am and come home to crash for a few hours. Of course those few hours would be the same few hours normally spent preparing and cooking the bird. So this year, Nick gave the go-ahead to purchase a catered turkey from our favorite smokehouse/bbq place here: Rudy's. And It Was AWESOME! Worth every penny for that smoked bird! Here you can see the blackened spice rub on the outside:
After all the festivities, we decided to sort our lego collection and rebuild every set (Well, the ones we still had manuals and pieces for). It took hours, but was actually a really fun family activity. We spent a couple days sorting, searching, and building. Even I had a great time! Surprisingly, we had most all the pieces we needed! Guess the vacuum didn't get as many as I had feared!
Notice how most the legos are shades of gray? Well that's because most of our lego sets are Star Wars ships....not a ton of color there, which made sorting/searching/building kinda crazy!

I was just thinking of you guys today and wondering if you have a baby girl yet? Hope that you do - that you are both well, and that you have had a wonderful holiday. Lovin' you and your fam from way out west!
