Sage's Birth Dec. 21st, 2010

Here I am...the morning of Sage's birth...last picture with my big belly:

Parkland Hospital, one that Nick works at, turned out to be a fun hospital to deliver ....'cause I got to meet a few of Nick's anesthesia residents and attendings and because Nick was able to hand-pick my anesthesiologist! (Who did a great job, by the way...seriously the best epidural I've ever had!) I know I got extra special attention from all the hospital staff...can't complain about that!

The room was FREEZING!! I guess maybe we'll complain about that! :)

After a few hours with pitocin in my IV, Sage made her debut at 2:52pm. I think we decided her name (Sage Noelle) about 1 hour before she came....cuttin' it kinda close for our taste!

Weighing 8 pounds and 1.6 ounces as the scale will tell you:

Here's my labor nurse and my OB, who is holding Miss Sage:

Awe...finally it's my turn! I LOVE that smushed little face!

Nick loves his little girl too...the next morning her face is less smushed:

Here come the big brothers...so excited to meet their little sister! Nick took them to the mall to pick out little bracelets for her. They were so happy to have a present for their little baby. Probably more excited to hold her though!

So far, our friends here in TX seem to all think Sage looks most like Nixan.

All our little hooligans! Looks like trouble to me...maybe Sage senses that too.

Waiting for the nurses to officially "discharge" us:

Following hospital protocols....I always feel so silly in those things!

And finally we're home! Nothin' like home!

Here's a final one of Sage in her size "newborn" outfit. She fills it out quite nicely. (She was my biggest baby!) I love how little newborns stretch...this picture captures her cute stretch...and her double chin!

Awww...squeal...I can't stand how cute she is. That little outfit kills me. I want to reach in the computer and pull her out. She is adorable. The boys are absolutely beaming in the hospital.

I'm so glad everything went well. Next time I deliver, can I come to Nick's hospital and have him hand- pick my anesthesiologist?

Now, every time you post you MUST include a picture of Sage. She is too cute to miss.
