Nick shares his birthday with our niece Lexi (that's her in the above picture...wearing a special home-made birthday crown), and this year, as luck would have it, we were able to celebrate with her. We all gathered at Joe's home for dinner, cakes, and ice cream. It was fun to have 13 kids singing and hip-hip-hooray-ing all together.

I love the following picture because it is so NOT a typical birthday picture for Nick. He's usually surrounded by three boys, not girls, haha! :) And these girls were very, VERY girly that night! (Playing dress-up)

Even Sage got in on some of the dress-up action! Her cousins loved playing with her and Sage had quite the party!

We also celebrated Nick's birthday with sushi and a movie (thanks again to Joe and Julynn for keeping the kids! Sage loves her some Uncle Joe!)
If there is one thing that is really interesting about Nick it is this: the man can get me to do things I NEVER, EVER, EVER in a million years thought I would do. Like eat sushi. Las Vegas Roll, perhaps my favorite?! (And yes....there's some "raw" in that!) Thanks Nick for teaching me to love sushi....you continue to expand my palatable experiences!! (Maybe next year I'll be thanking him for eel sauce?) I love you Nick!!
