Ten Years!

Carson turned 10 this month. Nick and I can't believe how old he is....and yet...we shouldn't be so surprised. He is VERY responsible and smart for being only ten years old. He is a great example to his younger brothers (no wonder the Lord sent him first!). This year Carson didn't want a traditional birthday cake, but asked instead for flan. If there is one really unique thing about Carson, it is that he is willing to try any new food and has always loved everything he tries! Sushi, calamari, oysters (raw!)...there's yet to be a food he despises (with the exception of extremely spicy seasonings/sauces). He puts me to shame!

Thanks to grandmas and grandpas for sending gifts!

Where Carson chose to go for his celebration dinner:

The kids LOVED dinner and all the theatrics! Even Sage was mesmerized and enjoyed herself some fried rice!

Happy b-day Carson! And oh my goodness, I just read your post below and didn't realize you had so much going on! Sounds like life HAS been crazy for you. Where are you in AZ??? Did you know that's where Jared and I lived while he did pharmacy school? We were in Glendale. Are you liking it?
And I can't believe you were in UT! You should have called me! No, not to make you feel guilty...I'm sure your schedule was jam-packed. But it would have been fun.
Lastly, we went private with our blog--I'd love to send you an invite if you send me your e-mail address. Hope you're doing well Jamie!!

What a fun birthday for Carson! He puts me to shame on the eating front as well. Jake is always complaining that I never want to try new things. Maybe one day I'll be brave and follow in Carson's footsteps. Maybe : )
