Carson is playing baseball for the first time ever. We figured now was the perfect time to let him try it....especially since he gets to play with his cousin Ky and Uncle Joe is his coach. He was really enjoying practices, but when it came time for his first game, I could tell he was super nervous (most likely about batting--when you're totally the center of attention). I hoped that he'd do well and build his confidence. (He worried a bit that he wouldn't be good because these other boys have been playing for years) Well, as luck would have it, Carson had an in-field home run that very first game! Hooray! We were so happy for him! And I think it gave him just the confidence boost he needed. Of course, he's still learning a lot about game strategy and fundamentals, but he loves playing. Joe is such a fun coach and we feel so blessed to live close to family! The following are pictures from the first couple of games:
Here you can see the ball he hit, right above the scoreboard and coach Joe in the background:
Sage doesn't cheer much, rather she enjoys playing in the dirt. Actually she's looking for sunflower seed hulls....she likes to eat them. The ones someone else has already spit-out on the ground. Awesome huh. Hepatitis here we come. Bleh.

Oh my gosh! Sage is so funny! Glad Carson is liking baseball! I loved watching my brother play. :) You're pictures are always so fabulous! Very talented. :)
That's soo fun that Carson is on Joe's team. He's a natural born athlete. D is playing this year for his first time, too. Packer'd be right there with Sage. Once in the doctor's office I looked over to find Pack chewing on gum, which Lex informed me he had fished outta the garbage in the waiting room. We usually come out of those offices worse than when we went in!
