Called Out

I've been tagged! So, here it goes...

8 Favorite TV shows:
1-LOST!!!!!!!!!
2-The O'Reilly Factor, although I no longer get it with our satellite package! :(
3-Glenn Beck
4-American Idol, I'm an on-again, off-again fan
5-The Office
6-the news, followed by Jay Leno's opening monologue
7-Anything on Food Network
8-Anything on HGTV
(Julie...we're a lot alike!!!)

8 Things I did Yesterday:
1-Drove Carson and his friend to school at 7:45am
2-Ran 4 miles and did a little weight lifting
3-Took Nick shopping for a shirt, which has to match for our upcoming family pictures! Of course, we found several "perfect" such shirts at the very first stop! Why doesn't that ever happen for me when I need some "perfect" shirt??? 1 week and 25 stores later...
4-Added artichoke hearts and spinach to our stuffed jumbo shells for dinner...it was delish!
5-Made the pumpkin roll Nick had requested..also delish!
6-Enjoyed Nick's family home evening lesson and activity without too much distraction from TJ.
7-Hosted a Relief Society Enrichment Committee meeting...great girls, great laughs! And we did get some planning done!
8-Put a bucket under an AC vent. Why? Because during the hurricane-like thunderstorm, water began leaking onto the floor. Was a new roof just installed five months ago? Yep. Great....now to get them to come back and do the job right. Blast!

8 Things to Look Forward to:
1- Getting my roof fixed so I don't have to worry about any future leaks!
2-Thanksgiving!
3-Nick's parents coming to visit in a few weeks.
4-Christmas shopping...I look forward to getting it done!
5-Receiving Christmas cards...I LOVE that...so all you readers out there...don't forget me!!
6-The marriage of a brother...come on Joseph!! Or Jake!! Either of you...just come on!!
7-The season premier of LOST in January
8-Paying off Med School loans!

8 Favorite Restaurants:
Well...I'll admit I have a food obsession...so these are all favorites, in no particular order
1-University Grill (in Ogden, UT...we go here every time we visit UT)
2-PF Changs (or Pei Wei...they're basically the same)
3-Olive Garden (although for pasta...they're seriously over-priced!)
4-Jamba Juice (We have them here in TX!!! No more waiting till we visit UT!)
5-Gardunos (of Albuquerque, NM)
6-Pappadeaux's (Amazing cuisine here in TX)
7-Crown Burger (Love a good Cheeseburger...and they're the BEST, too bad they're only in UT!)
8-Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro (of Richmond, VA...way better than Cheesecake Factory!)

8 Things on my Wish List:
1-This amazing Karastan area rug...but at $550, I'm wishing for a sale!
2-Grand Piano (some day when I have a house that can accommodate one!)
3-I wish I only had to say things ONCE (to my kids) for things to get done.
4-To go back to school...possibly Pharmacy? or maybe Accounting?
5-To be tan...I'm never tan...and I WON'T fake bake...I wish I wasn't so fair-skinned!
6-Surprise someone with a VERY generous gift.
7-Mitt Romney presidental win in 2012.
8-For all my boys to serve full-time missions...

Love your tag post. I'm amazed at what you did yesterday. You had me beat with your first two things! Hello...how did you get that all done? Sorry about the roof leak. I'm very afraid for this home ownership thing. I can't call the landlord to fix all my problems. Here's hoping today is as productive as yesterday!

Loved it Jamie!! You and I really are very similar...guess that's why I like you so much :). I am soooo sorry about the leak! See...one more thing alike...expensive home repairs (my shower-your roof...argh!) I wonder who will get theirs fixed first. Probably you. Yours is more important. Good luck!! OH...Now that all my bro's are married I'll start praying for yours. They're so much better married! :)

Oh man, that was a pretty bad storm. SO sorry about your roof. Um... 7:45am to school?? bet your hate that I sometimes get there at 7:57. I promise to work on that.
Hey, wanna teach me how to make one of your delish dishes?

What a fun post!

Please tell me you had a busy day. I think running 4 miles and making a pumpkin roll would have wiped me out.

I am also excited for LOST. Come on, January...do they really need to show previews now? That is upsetting.

I must say that I am glad we are coming to your house for a little holiday time...you intimate me with your fancy cooking. Artichoke hearts? Like you just have those in your cupboard? I have so much to learn.

Sorry about your roof. That is more upsetting than waiting for Lost to come back.

I can't wait to see your family pictures. I love those. You are the best.

Ha Ha! I just got it! Cyndi wants to be the generous gift receiver (from Julie's comments)... I was sitting there wondering why she was hoping for a plane ticket from you... I was wondering if you had them for Christmas, but I see now that on your wish list you want to give a generous gift! I think that would be so fun to do someday too! You are so thoughtful!

Do you run 4 miles every day? You are seriously my hero.

Oh, and I can't wait to get more recipes from you! We've loved them all so far! Yes, your pumpkin roll is delicious! I have the ingredients! Fall is wonderful!
