Halloween
Halloween is always so much fun for the kids...definitely one of their favorite holidays (and one of my least!). Carson had known for months that he wanted to dress as an Army officer. Fortunately, Uncle Chaz had sent us some West Point uniforms a couple years ago and I was able to alter them a bit to fit Carson. Nixan debated and debated between a police officer and a Star Wars Trooper. His decision was made easily when there were no Trooper costumes to be found in his size (and I'm NOT admitting that I didn't look very hard). We couldn't find any police costumes that I liked...$24.99 for a paper-thin polyester jumpsuit? Hardly. But, Nixan found a hat that he just had to have...and I figured I could find some things to "build" his costume. Treyson had no choice in his costume but I think he was quite happy with it. This Cowboy costume has been passed down several times...at least 17 years ago it was Uncle Chaz's, then Uncle Jake's, possible a few other uncles, and then it was passed on to Carson, Nixan, and now Treyson. (Don't worry Chaz...in a couple years, we'll give it back to you. But ONLY if you promise to put Marek in it!) Halloween wouldn't be complete without our jack-o-lanterns. Nick always does such an amazing job carving them. All the neighborhood kids were impressed...and there were even a few parents who took pictures of them!

Love the mustache. I am also very impressed with Nick's pumpkins. That takes talent...and patience!
Cutest boys. Carson is looking so "grown up". I can't believe you have children that old!
...because you are so young.
Do you ever age? What's your secret? Being married to a doctor?
Don't tell me you eat tofu.
I was waiting to see what amazing pumpkins you would have this year! Very impressive! The boys looked so cute.
That is awesome! I love passing down outfits - we bought a bumble bee costume for 5 bucks - and if we ever have a girl...she will wear it too! The JACK-O-LANTERNS are awesome! Nick is multi-talented. I always admired his abilities in Arts and Crafts.
Wow! I'm so impressed with both your costumes and your pumpkins! The boys look adorable! And Nick's skills with needles and sharp objects is surely obvious in his pumpkin carving abilites! We love you!
I seriously have been DYING to see this years pumpkins. If you hadn't of posted them on your blog soon...I would have bugged you via email and phone! I am just soooo impressed!
I absolutely LOVE the hat that Nix picked out!! It should last for a couple of years...ha!! The mustache is just so classic. I chuckled out loud of the three of them....I love the mean cowboy face, the pink panther style of police man and the GI Joe...although, I couldn't really see him...ha-ha...get it (camoflauge)..ha-ha! ok-ok...I'm a dork.
Glad you had fun. The boys are so cute!!! Good job mom and dad!!
Fantastic pumpkins!
Congrats on making it through Halloween. I think figuring out costumes is a little intense. Your boys look great.
The boys look adorable!! and no I'm not surprised a bit that your pumpkins look amazing......Nick is seriously an amazing artist....or is that your new talents shining through?
Awesome! What nice pumpkins. The boys are oh so cute in their costumes.
