Six Flags Over Texas

The boys participated in a reading program last school year, where, if they read 6 hours, they would be awarded tickets to Six Flags. They got their tickets and Nick and I promised to take them during the summer. Of course, with me being sick and pregnant, I totally put it off. I had no desire to walk around an amusement park for hours in the heat (not to mention being unable to ride most of the rides). Then, one day, I happened to read the fine print on the tickets and realized that they would expire in only 2 days!! So, we HAD to go on a Saturday (isn't that the worst day for crowds?) that happened to be 110*!! It was soooooooo hot. But, we got the kids drenched on rides and they seemed to stay cool enough. And we got millions of refills on our sports jug. I must have been blessed with a good attitude that day, because even I, rider of few rides, had a really fun time. I guess it's the parent thing....always a blast watching your kids have fun, right?

Here is Nick with the big kids on a scary ride:

Here's TJ hangin' with me while the others ride the big rides (see how sweaty he is!):

Nixan and Trey in front of the Batmobile! (Carson and Nick were off riding Batman the Ride, which Nixan wasn't quite tall enough for):

Jaime-how pregnant are you? You don't even look pregnant-you look thinner than me and I am not even close to pregnant. I refuse to believe that ultrasound is yours. Liar.
In other news, your boys look cute and so grown up. Just think of all the protecting your (fake ultrasound) baby girl will get. Any idea where you are headed? How about more desert but a little further west. I am talkin about AZ girl-think it over. We would love to have another VA friend there! Only 9 more months!!!

That's quite the reading reward, none of this little pizza business, huh? I'm so glad you enjoyed it despite the circumstances!
