In a Nutshell

Ever since we put our TX house on the market months ago, life has not slowed down! With all the business of packing, selling the house, summer travels, family weddings, family reunions, moving, starting a new job, finding a new place to live, registering and starting school, unpacking, etc. etc. etc......blogging had to take a back seat (sadly). Rather than try to go back and document every fun/crazy/interesting/difficult event of the past summer, I have decided to just sum things up with a few words and lots of pictures. The pictures will show that we did some really fun things in Summer 2011 and spent wonderful time with extended family. (Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us stay with you!!!!) The pictures can't tell you that we spent about 3 months in a total transitional funk though. June was pretty rough....Nick stayed behind in TX to finish residency stuff, wrap up (several) loose ends so we could sell our house, pack up our stuff and load the truck, and on top of all that study (in peace, without the kiddos) for his board exam. To say it was tough would be an understatement. I'll leave it at that and spare you all the details of how everything that could go wrong, did. Ugh. Fortunately, July was much better because Nick finally joined the kids and me in UT. "Reunited and it feels so good...." In July we closed on our house in TX, finally found a great place to live in AZ, and spent copious amounts of time with family (perhaps even wearing out our welcome?!?) In August, Nick took his board exam--a huge relief to just have the test over with! (We found out recently that he passed with flying colors! Hooray!) Then it was off to AZ for us. And so far we have LOVED it!

Oh, and you could never outstay your welcome - you didn't stay long enough! I miss you already. And by the looks of your backyard I think we need to head to Arizona this winter and visit you!!!!
